About the CCR

The Center for Cardiovascular Research (CCR), situated on the third floor of the Biosciences Building, comprises ten cutting-edge biomedical laboratories where researchers from various disciplines collaborate on pioneering cardiovascular studies. Our mission is to advance both basic science and translational research in cardiac and vascular diseases, while also providing nationally competitive training programs for graduate students, medical students, postdoctoral trainees, and cardiology fellows. Through our work, we aim to improve heart and vascular health, foster innovation, and engage the community in understanding cardiovascular health and disease. Guided by our core values of teamwork, innovation, and outreach, CCR aspires to be a premier research center driving a deeper understanding of cardiovascular biology and developing new treatments to combat disease.
